Talk Therapy
I provide talk therapy in a supportive, compassionate environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills, increase emotional awareness, and work toward meaningful goals. I am trauma-informed and always strive to create a safe, respectful space where your unique experiences and history are honored throughout our work together.

At the heart of my practice is a strong foundation in psychodynamic therapy, which guides my understanding of how early relationships and past experiences shape current patterns and struggles. By combining this depth-oriented perspective with evidence-based tools like CBT, Mindfulness, and DBT, I aim to support healing, self-discovery, and lasting growth tailored to your individual needs.
1
What is talk therapy?
Talk therapy is a collaborative process where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe, supportive space. It helps you gain insight into patterns, build coping skills, and work through challenges in a way that fosters healing and personal growth. The benefits of talk therapy include improved emotional well-being, healthier relationships, and greater self-awareness.
2
What are the benefits of talk therapy and how long will I be in therapy for?
The benefits of talk therapy can include feeling more understood and less alone in your struggles, as well as gaining new tools to manage stress, anxiety, or difficult emotions. Over time, therapy can help you strengthen your sense of self, improve communication in relationships, and create positive, lasting changes in your life.

Talk therapy is typically a slower-moving, reflective process rather than an intensive or crisis-focused treatment. While each person’s journey is unique, many clients begin to notice small shifts—such as greater self-awareness, relief from emotional distress, or new ways of thinking—within several sessions. Lasting results often take time, as therapy gently helps uncover deeper patterns, build insight, and support gradual, meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
3
What does a typical session look like?
A typical talk therapy session is a supportive space where you can share whatever feels most important—whether that’s a recent experience, a troubling emotion, or a pattern you’re trying to better understand. We might explore your thoughts and feelings together, reflect on connections to past experiences, and introduce tools like mindfulness practices or coping strategies from CBT or DBT, depending on your needs. Sessions are collaborative and flexible, always guided by your goals and what feels most helpful to you in the moment.
4
What is the cost?
An intake session is a 75-minute initial meeting where I gather background information, we discuss your concerns, and we establish your therapy goals; this session is $220.
Each following session is 50 minutes at a rate of $185
